This variety is a cherry tree seedling. Originator — VNIIGiSPR named after I.V. Michurin. Authors: S.V. Zhukov, E.N. Khritonova. Introduced into the State Register in 1985 for the Central Chernozem and Lower Volga regions.
The tree is strongly growing with a broad-pyramidal crown of medium density and foliage. Branches are greenish-brown, medium thickness, curved, with long internodes. Buds are large, conical, pointed, brown, lagging behind the branches. Leaves are large, dark green, egg-shaped with a pointed apex and oval base. Leaf margin is doubly serrated, serration size is medium. Leaf blade surface is curved upward, slightly wrinkled, matte, lower surface is moderately hairy. Petiole is long, pigmented, medium thickness. Stipules are lanceolate, incised, medium size, light green, quickly falling. Flowers are large, white, with slightly wavy edges.
Fruits are large, one-dimensional, average weight 4.3 g, fruit shape is round, apex and base are rounded, small depression. Skin color is burgundy, flesh and juice are dark red. Flesh consistency is tender. Peduncle is long, medium thickness. Stone is fairly large, 0.4 g, oval-rounded shape, easily separates from flesh. Color is light brown. Apex shape is oval, base is rounded. Fruit flesh has good taste qualities (4.3 points), dry matter content — 18.47%, sugars — 12.19%, acids — 1.51%, ascorbic acid — 21.65 mg/100g. Fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and for technological processing.
Flowering period is early. Trees begin to bear fruit on the 4th year after planting in the garden. Fruits ripen simultaneously.
Advantages of the variety: yield, increased resistance to coccomyces, good winter hardiness.
Disadvantages of the variety: strongly growing trees.
