Seedling of the Shirotpotrebit black selection of VSTISP. Authors: H.K. Enikeev, S.N. Satarova, A.I. Evstratov, A.M. Mikhayev. Included in the State Register for the Central Region in 2001.
Medium-height tree (2.5-3.0 m), with a round, slightly raised crown of medium density. Bark of the trunk is gray with elongated cracks. Shoots have a vertical growth direction, brown bark color, with a moderate number of lenticels. Vegetative buds are slightly deviated from the shoot. Leaves are medium-sized, inversely egg-shaped, concave. Leaf blade is large, oval-shaped, flat, dark green, with a bluntly pointed apex and rounded base. Upper leaf surface is matte. Pubescence of the lower leaf surface is absent. Leaf margin is doubly serrated. Petiole is short and weakly colored. Stomata are small, pink, in small quantity. Number of flowers in inflorescence is medium (4-6), corolla diameter is small, saucer-shaped. Petals are broadly oval, white. Number of stamens is large (23-28), stamens are short (less than 8 mm), pistil is short (less than 8 mm), calyx shape is cup-like. Fruits ripen predominantly on cluster branches.
Fruits are medium-sized (3.2 g), round-oval, dark red. Main color of fruit skin and flesh is red. Juice is rose-colored. Flesh has medium density. Pedicel is short, medium thickness. Bracts are absent. Stone is oval-shaped, long, medium width, thin. Fresh stone color is creamy. Fruits have sweet-tart flavor. Taste evaluation score is 3.9 points. Pedicel detachment from fruit is medium. Character of pedicel detachment from fruit with minor damage to the calyx. Stone is small — 0.26 g, which constitutes 8.1% of fruit mass, easily separates from flesh. Fruits are of universal use.
