This variety was obtained by crossing Zhukovskaya with Almaz. Originator — All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Fruit Plants named after I.V. Michurin. Authors: E.N. Kharityonova and O.S. Zhukov. The variety was introduced into the State Register in 1998 for the Central Chernozem region.
Medium-sized tree with a medium-dense, rounded crown. Shoots of medium length, straight, brownish-brown. Buds conical, pointed, reddish-brown, pressed against the shoot. Leaves large, elliptical, short-pointed, dark green, smooth. Leaf blade flat, apex gradually pointed, base rounded, glabrous. Leaf margin finely toothed. Stipules medium-sized, strongly divided, early falling. Petiole of medium length and thickness. Flowers large, white. Fruit set on cluster branches and on last year's growth.
Fruits 18 mm high and 16 mm in diameter, large, weighing 5.0 g, one-dimensional, round-shaped. Fruit apex rounded, small depression, medium cavity, base with indentation. Main fruit color dark red, moderate number of lenticels, barely noticeable. Skin medium, glabrous. Flesh orange, tender. Juice light-red. Fruit flavor 4.75 points, sour-sweet. Dry matter content in fruits — 15.0%, sugars — 6.8%, acids — 1.48%, ascorbic acid — 11.0 mg/100g. Transportability medium. Variety of universal use. Peduncle of medium length and thickness, easily separates from the branch, firmly attached to the stone. Stone free, easily separates from flesh, medium-sized, oval-shaped.
Partially self-fertile, best pollinators — Zhukovskaya and Vladimirskaya.
Advantages of the variety: high-quality fruits of universal use, moderate growth, stable yield, increased resistance to coccomyces.
Disadvantages: rather large stone.
