Description

Apricot variety Bergeron — a medium-late industrial variety of French selection, developed around 1920. It is adapted to various climatic conditions, including regions of Ukraine, and is characterized by high frost resistance, drought tolerance, and resistance to moniliosis. The tree is strong-growing with a round-oval crown, begins fruiting on the 3rd-4th year after planting, ensuring high and regular yields.

Bergeron fruits are medium-sized, weighing from 50 to 70 grams, round in shape with orange-yellow skin adorned with bright red speckled blush on most of the surface. The flesh is dense, juicy, and aromatic, with pronounced sweetness and slight acidity. The stone is small and easily separates from the flesh, making the fruits convenient for consumption and processing.

This apricot variety is versatile in application: the fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, including freezing, canning, and other methods. Thanks to its high commercial quality and rich aroma, Bergeron is an excellent choice for desserts and industrial cultivation.
