This variety was obtained at the All-Russian Selection and Technology Institute for Horticulture and Nursery by selection of a clone of the Grete Ostheim variety by X.K. Enikeev. It was included in the State Register in 1959 for the Central Region.
The tree is medium-sized — 2.5 m, with a wide, rounded, spherical, dense crown; medium-sized leaves, thin, matte, green, egg-shaped, with doubly toothed margins. Bears fruit predominantly on one-year-old growth.
The fruits are above average size (mass 3.5 g), round, dark red, suitable for fresh consumption and various processing methods. The taste is slightly tart-sweet, pleasant, with medium-firm, juicy flesh, dark red juice, medium-sized, round or slightly oval stone, with a wet detachment.
The variety is early-fruiting, ripens July 15-20, self-sterile, best pollinators are Vladimirskaya and Pink Sklyanka. Productivity is above average (8.6 kg per tree or 6-8 t/ha). Winter hardiness of the tree and buds is above average, resistance to coccomyces is medium, resistance to moniliosis is below average.
Advantages: medium-early, productive Moscow variety with good-quality fruits.
Disadvantages: medium resistance to fungal diseases.
