The "Ekaterinovskaya" lentil variety is early-maturing and dish-type, ensuring rapid maturation within 63–89 days (in some trials, 74–82 days). Seeds are of medium size (4.8–6.5 mm), green in color with yellow seed leaves, possess high technological performance and resistance to biotic and abiotic stressors. Consequently, the variety demonstrates excellent uniformity of ripening and stable yields across a wide range of climatic conditions.

The yield of "Ekaterinovskaya" ranges from 0.93 t/ha to impressive 36.5 c/ha, with the highest figure recorded in the Penza region in 2021. Protein content reaches 25.6%, making the product a valuable source of nutrients for the food industry and households.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use chernozem and chestnut soils, pre-plant preparation, and treat seeds with bacterial fertilizers. The sowing rate is 2.2–2.5 million viable seeds per hectare. The variety does not lodge, which simplifies harvesting and increases production economic efficiency.
