"Maxim" is classified as a root type of celeriac. The selection process focused heavily on producing a sturdy, dense root with excellent culinary properties. With a vegetation period of 140–160 days, it is classified as a mid-late variety, making it ideal for harvesting in the autumn season.

One of the key features noted by agronomists is its increased tolerance to Septoria leaf spot. This fungal disease is a major threat to celery crops, capable of destroying a significant portion of the yield in just weeks. By using the "Maxim" variety, farmers can reduce the number of fungicide applications, which not only saves on production costs but also contributes to obtaining a more environmentally friendly product.
