Celery Maxim

Czech Breeding for Superior Root Quality

Celery 'Maxim' by Moravoseed is a standard of stability that farmers value in root-type crops. Bred in the Czech Republic, this variety has firmly established itself in the European vegetable market, offering producers a balance between a vigorous leaf rosette and a high-quality, marketable root. Its reputation is built on reliability in temperate climates, where obtaining a yield with excellent taste and long storage potential is paramount.

Agronomic Advantages

A key feature of 'Maxim' is its genetic resistance to Septoria. For professional farming operations, this is a critical parameter that allows for a significant reduction in fungicide applications and lowers the overall pesticide pressure on the field. Unlike many hybrids focused solely on early maturity, 'Maxim' produces roots that maintain firmness during prolonged storage, keeping a snow-white interior and characteristic aroma without internal cavities.

• Plant Type: Root celery.
• Origin: Czech Republic (Moravoseed).
• Resistance: High threshold of resistance to Septoria.
• Application: Fresh market, professional storage, and processing.

By investing in Moravoseed planting material, growers achieve a predictable result: a marketable root with minimal lateral roots, which significantly simplifies pre-sale preparation and mechanical harvesting. 'Maxim' is the choice for those who prioritize crop profitability and visual market appeal.
