IVAN-TSAREVICH

Ivan-Tsarevich — a mid-season variety of root celery, maturing in 150-160 days from seedling emergence to technical ripeness. The plant is characterized by a large, round root of a grayish-white color with white pulp. The root mass varies from 200-350 g to 750 g, with low placement of lateral roots and medium soil immersion, which facilitates easy pulling. The variety has good storage and transportability, making it convenient for storage and transportation. The yield reaches 3.0-3.5 kg per square meter.

Ivan-Tsarevich is versatile in cuisine: fresh leaves and roots are used in salads, boiled ones in soups, and stewed ones in vegetable stews and meat side dishes. Celery leaves impart a special aroma to dishes and significantly improve the taste of pickled vegetables, such as eggplants and tomatoes. This makes the variety particularly valuable for various culinary applications.

For cultivation, it is recommended to sow for seedlings in mid-February to early March, followed by transplanting into the ground at the end of May according to a 35x40 cm scheme. This approach ensures optimal conditions for plant development and high yield.
