Carrot Tenderness

The carrot variety "TENDERNESS" is a mid-season variety that forms a yield within 100-110 days from germination. The root crops belong to the Nantes type, have a mass ranging from 100 to 250 grams and are distinguished by their high carotene content, making them especially beneficial for dietary and children's food. The variety is valued for its excellent taste and is suitable for preparing various dishes, including dietary and children's menus. Thanks to its uniform ripening and high yield, reaching 5-8 kg per square meter, "TENDERNESS" is popular among farmers and health-conscious individuals.

The "TENDERNESS" variety is characterized by its resistance to various climatic conditions and can be grown in different regions. For successful cultivation, early sowing is recommended — at the end of April or beginning of May, as well as winter sowing is possible. The seeds are coated with a special dragee that facilitates sowing and quickly dissolves upon exposure to moisture. Sowing is done at a depth of 2-3 cm with a row spacing of 18-20 cm. For ensuring good growth and abundant fruiting, timely watering, regular weeding, loosening, and feeding with mineral fertilizers are necessary.

The optimal soils for the carrot "TENDERNESS" are light loam and sandy loam soils. The best predecessors are potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and legumes. Before spring sowing, it is recommended to apply complex mineral fertilizers that provide full nutrition to the plants throughout the vegetation period. The harvest of this variety stores well over winter and is suitable for fresh consumption, making it a versatile and convenient choice for farmers and home gardeners.
