Description ABLEDO
The Abledo carrot is a late-maturing hybrid of the Chantenay type, with a maturity period ranging from 110 to 140 days depending on growing conditions. The plant forms a spreading leaf rosette, while the root has a conical shape with a tapered tip, approximately 17 centimeters long and weighing between 100 and 200 grams. The root has a deep orange color, both in the skin and the core, indicating a high carotene content — up to 22 mg per 100 grams of raw product. The carrot is distinguished by its excellent taste and versatility in application.

The Abledo variety is resistant to cracking and splitting, making it especially suitable for long-term winter storage and juice production. It is recommended to grow it on loose soils with good access to sunlight. Seeds are sown at the end of April to the beginning of May at a depth of about 1 cm with inter-row spacing of 15 cm. After seedlings appear, thinning is carried out, leaving 5-7 cm between plants, which promotes the formation of quality roots.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield — up to 5 kg per square meter or 359-508 centners per hectare. Thanks to its characteristics and versatility of use, Abledo carrot is suitable both for fresh consumption and for processing and long-term storage, making it a profitable choice for farmers and vegetable producers.
