Honey

The 'Honey' carrot variety represents a universal medium-late variety with a period from germination to harvest of 115-125 days. The root crop belongs to the Nantaise type, characterized by a long shape, smooth surface, and juicy orange-red flesh. The root crop length is 11-14 cm, diameter is 2.5-4 cm, and mass varies from 125 to 210 grams. The core of the root crop is small, which contributes to high quality and taste characteristics of the product. Carrot contains a high amount of carotene, which makes it especially useful and suitable for making juices and purees, including for baby food.

The Honey variety is characterized by good cold hardiness: seeds germinate at temperatures of 2-3 °C, and seedlings can withstand a temperature drop to -5 °C. Root crops contain up to 84-88% water, which ensures their juiciness and freshness. For successful growth, plants require regular watering, weeding, soil loosening, and fertilization. Carrots develop best on light and loamy soils, as well as on peatlands.

The yield of the variety is 4.3-5.6 kg per square meter, which makes it profitable for growing both in private households and for commercial purposes. Due to its taste qualities and versatility of application, the Honey variety is ideal for use in fresh form, as well as for processing into juices and purees. Good storage life allows storing root crops for a long time without loss of quality.
