Olimpo

OLIMPO F1 carrot is a mid-season hybrid of the Nantes type, developed by the French company Vilmorin and the Dutch breeding company Hazera. The vegetation period ranges from 100 to 125 days, allowing this variety to be grown in various climatic conditions. The hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to diseases such as alternaria and powdery mildew, and is adapted to mechanized harvesting, which facilitates crop collection and increases its efficiency.

OLIMPO carrots have a bright orange color, a cylindrical or conical shape with a rounded tip, and a smooth, even surface without protrusions or eyes. The length of the root crops reaches 17-20 cm, and the weight varies from 150 to 200 grams. The flesh is characterized by a sweet taste and high sugar content (about 8%) and carotene (16 mg), as well as a significant amount of vitamins and beneficial trace elements. Thanks to these qualities, carrots are suitable both for retail on the fresh market and for home cooking and processing.

The OLIMPO F1 hybrid is characterized by a high yield potential — up to 70 tons per hectare when agronomic requirements and correct planting density (about 0.7-0.8 million pieces per hectare) are met. Carrots withstand transportation over long distances well and can be stored in cool, dark conditions for up to 4-5 months, maintaining their taste and market qualities. This versatile variety is excellent for growing in different regions and ensures a stable and quality harvest.
