Narita is a high-yield carrot hybrid of the Nantaise type, distinguished by its strong and healthy foliage. The roots have a smooth, uniform cylindrical shape with a blunt tip, characteristic of Nantaise carrots. Their weight varies from 90 to 200 grams, with an average of about 150–200 grams. The roots are vividly orange both in the core and the skin, lacking anthocyanin coloring, with minimal greening of the shoulders. The leaves are sprawling, medium length, green or dark green, and medium-cut. From sowing to harvest collection takes about 116 days, making the hybrid medium-late.
This hybrid is characterized by good internal root structure and resistance to cracking, ensuring high product quality. Narita withstands growing stress conditions well, showing resistance to bolting and powdery mildew. Due to these traits, the hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions and ensures a stable harvest.
Carrot Narita is recommended for fresh consumption, as well as for washing, peeling, and long-term storage. The taste qualities of the roots are good and excellent, making them in demand both in the fresh vegetable market and for winter storage. The hybrid's commercial yield is at a high level, confirming its competitiveness among similar varieties.
