Carrot variety Narina is a medium-maturing hybrid of the Chantenay type with a vegetative period of 110-115 days. The roots have a conical shape and reach a length of 15-18 cm, featuring a bright orange color both on the outside and inside. The fruit mass is approximately 180-200 grams. High content of carotene (8.2-12%), dry matter (10-14.5%), and sugar (8.4-10.5%) ensures a rich vitamin composition and excellent taste qualities, making Narina carrot popular for fresh consumption, as well as for canning, freezing, and long-term storage up to 4-6 months. The plant features upright dark green leafy foliage, well-attached to the root. Narina carrot is characterized by high resistance to cracking, splitting, alternaria, and powdery mildew, significantly increasing harvest quality, reaching 85-93%. Due to its cold tolerance and ease of cultivation, this hybrid is suitable for various soil types, including chernozems, chestnut soils, peat, sandy, and light loamy soils. The recommended sowing rate is 1.2-1.4 million seeds per hectare, allowing optimal use of area for high-quality root yield.
