Carrot Zetor RZ F1

Field Performance: Zetor RC F1 Carrot

For large-scale vegetable producers, the choice of hybrid is a balance between yield, handling efficiency, and market longevity. Zetor RC F1 by Rijk Zwaan is a Berlilkumer type that stands out for its reliability in both field conditions and processing lines. This is a variety designed for those who value predictable results and minimal field waste.

Harvesting and Agronomics

Mechanized harvesting requires specific traits: vigorous foliage and structural uniformity. Zetor RC F1 offers exactly this. The cylindrical shape of the carrots ensures consistent results during washing and packaging processes. The vibrant orange color remains attractive even after extensive handling.

Key Technical Specifications:

• Maturity: 110–120 days, allowing for precise harvest scheduling.
• Planting Density: Recommended density is 1.0–1.2 million plants/ha to ensure optimal root sizing.
• Disease Tolerance: Excellent resistance to Alternaria and powdery mildew reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, lowering overall production costs.

Storage and Processing

The primary economic advantage of Zetor RC F1 is its storage potential. With a shelf life of 5–6 months, farmers can avoid the market glut at harvest time and hold their stock for better prices. For processing plants, the internal density of this hybrid is a major benefit, as it maintains texture and quality during slicing or industrial preparation.
