Lydia F1 is a mid-early hybrid of the Chantenay-type carrot, maturing 115–120 days after germination. The plant forms semi-erect, moderately cut green leaves. The root crops have a triangular shape with a smooth surface and bright orange color. They feature a small non-bleaching crown and a rounded blunt tip. Root crop dimensions depend on cultivation technology: under standard methods, length is 13–15 cm, while growing on ridges or mounds reaches 19–20 cm, with a diameter of 4–5 cm and a weight of 90–130 grams. The core is medium-sized. Lydia F1 is distinguished by excellent taste qualities: the flesh is dense, juicy, and sweet. Dry matter content is 11–13%, total sugar reaches up to 6%, and β-carotene content ranges from 12–14 mg%. The hybrid is resistant to bolting, ensuring a stable yield and high marketability—marketable root crops yield 85–95%. Due to excellent transportability and storability, carrots can be stored for 5–6 months without quality loss. Lydia F1 is versatile in application: suitable for fresh consumption, as well as canning, processing, and long-term storage.
