Karamelka

Carrot variety Caramelka is a universal vegetable of early and mid-late maturity, ideal for both home and commercial growing in open ground. The roots of this variety have a bright orange or orange-red color, a conical shape with a blunt rounded tip, and a smooth surface. The length of the carrots ranges from 12 to 20 cm, with a mass of 100 to 225 grams. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and practically core-free, making it especially pleasant to taste. The variety is characterized by high carotene and sugar content, which ensures not only excellent taste qualities but also high nutritional value.

The growing season for Caramelka carrots ranges from 70 to 127 days depending on growing conditions and sowing dates. The harvest can be collected from June to September, with yields reaching 3.5-6.0 kg per square meter. The variety is versatile in application: roots are suitable for fresh consumption, salad making, juices, culinary processing, freezing, and long-term storage during the winter. Due to their juiciness and sweetness, Caramelka carrots are also excellent for raw consumption.

For successful cultivation of Caramelka carrots, it is recommended to choose well-lit areas with loamy or light loam soil. Seed sowing is conducted in April at a depth of 2-4 cm with row spacing up to 40 cm. Seeds do not require pre-soaking, but covering the beds with black agrofabric accelerates seedling emergence to 4-5 days. Plant care includes regular weeding, watering, and soil loosening. At the 2-3 true leaf stage, thinning is carried out, leaving plants at a distance of 3-5 cm from each other, which promotes the formation of large and straight roots.
