The Scromnitsa carrot variety is an early-maturing root crop with a conical shape, featuring an orange-red surface, core, and flesh. The root crop length ranges from 10 to 12 cm, with a diameter of 2.4 to 3.4 cm, and mass varying between 100-245 g. The root crop has a smooth surface and a blunt or slightly pointed tip. The core is almost absent, which enhances the vegetable's flavor. The leaves are semi-spreading, of medium length, and green, characteristic of this variety. The Scromnitsa variety is characterized by a high carotene content — up to 17 mg per 100 g of raw material, as well as a significant level of dry substances (11.0-15.7%) and total sugar (6.1-7.6%), which ensures excellent flavor qualities. The yield of this variety is high, ranging from 3.5 to 5.2 kg per square meter, or 290-516 c/ha depending on growing conditions. The output of commercial product reaches 77-86%, making the variety profitable for commercial production. Scromnitsa carrots are intended for fresh use, freezing, and winter storage. They are suitable for growing both under winter cover and on a commercial scale.
