Kerdos F1

Kerdos F1 — an early hybrid of cauliflower, developed by the Dutch seed company Seminis. It is characterized by its versatility in cultivation: suitable for spring planting both under protective covers at low temperatures and in open ground, as well as for autumn cropping following early crops. The vegetation period is 65-75 days from transplanting seedlings, allowing harvest within 2-2.5 months. The hybrid successfully adapts to various natural-climatic conditions, demonstrating high stress resistance and survival capability even under adverse conditions due to its strong root system.

Plants form beautiful, white, high-round heads with a dense structure, divided into small florets. Average head weight varies from 0.8 to 2 kg, depending on growing conditions. Leaves are strong, blue-green in color, well-covering the heads, providing excellent self-shading. The hybrid is resistant to alternaria, enhancing its marketability and transportability. Recommended planting density is 25-35 thousand plants per hectare.

Kerdos F1 is intended for fresh consumption and is suitable for both fresh market sales and processing. Due to its qualities and versatility, the hybrid is widely used in various agronomic systems, including first and second cropping rotations.
