Bluegrass ANISHA

Genetic potential of 'Anisha' Kentucky Bluegrass

The 'Anisha' variety of Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis) is a product of the Danish company DLF, engineered to provide turf with enhanced natural immunity. The core physiology of this variety is built upon high resistance to a wide range of pathogens affecting turfgrass, making it a strategic choice for professional landscaping.

Technical characteristics and design

• Biological barrier: DLF's breeding program focuses on strengthening cell walls, which restricts fungal mycelium penetration. Practically, this significantly reduces the need for fungicide applications.
• Regenerative capacity: 'Anisha' features a well-developed root system and active tillering, allowing the turf to naturally heal bare spots and damaged areas without the need for constant overseeding.
• Adaptability: The variety shows stability across various climatic zones, maintaining vegetative activity under fluctuating light conditions and moisture regimes.

The technical value of 'Anisha' lies in its longevity. Utilizing high-quality seed stock from the originator, Dlf Seeds A/S, minimizes the risks of genetic degradation, ensuring uniform turf density throughout many years of use. The high shoot density effectively outcompetes weeds, which provides clear economic advantages for long-term turf maintenance.
