Poa pratensis 'Armada' – a compact, dense and dwarf variety of meadow fescue, characterized by dark green leaf color and medium density structure. It adapts easily to medium and minimal levels of care: after sowing, seeds germinate within 8–10 days, and the plant establishes quickly, making it ideal for both seeded and rolled lawns. Thanks to its high vigor and resistance to summer stresses and diseases, 'Armada' is suitable for park areas, golf course greens, and private lawns.
The variety is characterized by a dwarf height (does not exceed 30–40 cm) and the ability to maintain density up to 1.3 g/m² with regular mowing. This allows it to be used as a standalone material or in mixtures with other elite meadow fescue varieties – Langara, Crest, Mercury, Granite. 'Armada' tolerates shade well and retains moisture, making it suitable for use in various climatic conditions, including cold regions with proper soil preparation.
For sowing, late summer or early autumn is recommended; in cold regions, winter sowing is possible if measures are taken to protect from winter conditions. Thanks to its disease resistance and high density, 'Armada' provides a durable and aesthetically pleasing lawn with moderate maintenance.
