Carson

Carson bean is an early-maturing Dutch-selected snap bean variety, designed for mechanized harvest. The medium-height plant, with an upright bush reaching about 50 cm, features white flowers and forms oval-round yellow pods 12-14 cm long and approximately 9.5 mm in diameter. The pods have a glossy surface, lack fibrous tissue and parchment layer, ensuring high product quality and ease of use.

The variety is characterized by high yield and disease resistance, including resistance to anthracnose, as well as tolerance to bean mosaic virus. The maturity period is 53-58 days, enabling early harvest. The average thousand seed weight is 230 g, indicating good seed density and quality.

Carson beans are ideal for both processing and fresh sale. Due to their bright yellow color, meaty texture, and strong aroma, the pods received a high sensory rating — 5 points. The variety is versatile: suitable for fresh consumption as well as after thermal processing, making it an excellent choice for various culinary applications.
