Bean TRIUMF SAKHARNY 764

TRIUMF SAKHARNY 764 bean is an early-maturing variety of asparagus bean with a period from germination to technical maturity of 50-65 days. The plant is bushy, compact, erect, 30-40 cm tall, with light green weakly corrugated leaves and pink flowers. Pods are large, straight, flat-cylindrical, 12-16 cm long, sugar-free, fiberless, and without a parchment layer, making them especially juicy and tasty. Immature pods have a sharp long beak and green color, seeds are large, elongated-elliptical in shape, yellow.

The variety is characterized by high marketable yield, reaching 1.7-2.0 kg per square meter (or 10-17 tons per hectare). Pod attachment is high, which facilitates harvest collection. The bean has relative resistance to fungal diseases, which contributes to stable production of quality yield. For sowing, it is recommended to use seeds soaked until swelling, planting them in open ground at a depth of 2-3 cm with a row spacing of 50 cm and a distance between plants of 10 cm. After germination, thinning is carried out, and during the growing season regular watering, weeding, loosening, and feeding are necessary.

TRIUMF SAKHARNY 764 is suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for culinary processing and canning. Due to the absence of fibers and parchment layer, the pods are especially convenient for preparing soups, side dishes, and other dishes where a delicate texture is important. The extended harvest period allows for multiple pickings as the pods mature, ensuring convenience and flexibility in using this variety.
