Tsarivna — an early-maturing, high-yielding bush-type pea variety with plant height ranging from 35 to 42 cm. Pods are fleshy, fiber-free, have a characteristic purple color, are 14–16 cm long, and about 9 mm in diameter. This variety is genetically devoid of the parchment layer, ensuring high flavor quality and making the peas suitable for both direct consumption and canning. The 1000-seed mass reaches up to 250 g, indicating good seed size and quality. Tsarivna is not demanding of soil fertility, though it develops better on light, well-heated soils. The optimal temperature for plant growth and development is 22–27°C. Seeds should be sown at a depth of 3–6 cm into soil warmed to 8–10°C, typically from late April to early May, after the threat of frost has passed. The recommended planting scheme is 40–45 cm between rows and 8–12 cm between plants, ensuring optimal plant density of 20–35 plants per square meter. Crop care includes weed control, loosening inter-row spaces, and hilling, but the bush-type variety requires minimal intensive maintenance. For consumption, peas are harvested 12–15 days after flowering, when the pods are most succulent and tender. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, Tsarivna is suitable for both home gardens and industrial production.
