MOSCOW WHITE GREEN-POD 556 is a mid-season bean variety that matures 55-65 days from germination to fruiting. The plants are bushy, moderately branched, and spreading, reaching a height of 30-35 cm. The leaves are yellow-green and glossy, with white flowers. The pods are light green, large, flat-cylindrical, and curved, measuring 9-11 cm in length with a weakly expressed parchment layer, which is characteristic of sugar (asparagus) varieties. If harvesting is delayed, a parchment layer appears in the flat pods; therefore, it is recommended to harvest every 2-3 days, starting 8-12 days after pod formation, when the pods reach a length of 8-9 cm.

Beans are sown outdoors at the end of May to early June at a depth of 3 cm according to the 10x50 cm scheme. To ensure successful cultivation, it is recommended to choose well-warmed, loose soils with neutral acidity. Before sowing, seeds should be soaked until swelling, and when the plants reach a height of 12-15 cm, they should be hilled up. The variety is resistant to diseases such as anthracnose and bacteriosis, which increases its reliability and yield.

MOSCOW WHITE GREEN-POD 556 is suitable for both home cooking and the canning industry. The yield of the variety is about 1.5 kg per square meter. In addition to use in fresh form, the bean can be grown for grain, making this variety universal and convenient for various purposes.
