Lazy Wonder is an ultra-early bean variety that reaches technical maturity in just 38-40 days from full emergence. The plant is bush-type, low, and non-vining, with a height of about 45-47 cm and moderate foliage. Leaves have a green color, medium size, and round shape, which provides good photosynthetic coverage for active growth.
Beans of this variety are moderately wrinkled, medium length and width, with an elliptical to oval shape in cross-section. They have a low degree of curvature and an inward bend, light green color, and lack fibrousness, making them especially attractive for consumption. Each bean contains 5 to 6 seeds, and about 30 beans form on one plant, providing high yield — up to 1.88 kg per square meter.
For successful cultivation of Lazy Wonder, it is recommended to sow in open ground at the end of May – beginning of June, after spring frosts have passed, to a depth of 2-3 cm with row spacing of 40x10 cm. Sowing for seedlings in early May followed by transplanting into the ground in early June is also possible. Timely watering, regular weeding, soil loosening, and fertilization with mineral fertilizers are necessary to ensure good growth and abundant fruiting.
