Bean SOLNECHNAYA

Technical Profile of 'Solnechnaya' Asparagus Bean

The 'Solnechnaya' bean variety is a product of specialized breeding by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing. Designed as an early-maturing vegetable crop, it belongs to the sugar (asparagus) bean category, characterized by the absence of a parchment layer in the pods, ensuring high culinary quality.

Plant Architecture and Development Specs

• Growth Cycle: Technical maturity is achieved in 50–65 days, offering a rapid turnaround for production cycles.
• Plant Morphology: As a vining type with a height between 35 and 50 cm, this cultivar requires trellis support to optimize airflow and maximize solar radiation exposure.
• Generative Features: The variety produces white seeds, which is a standardized indicator for quality control during harvesting and processing.

The practical advantage of 'Solnechnaya' lies in its nutrient allocation; the plant directs resources towards the development of fleshy, succulent pods rather than grain accumulation. The absence of fibrous structural components in the pod walls makes this variety an ideal candidate for fresh market sales and frozen storage. The breeding work performed by the original team focused on environmental adaptation, ensuring consistent yield performance in standard cultivation conditions. The light-colored seeds provide a clean presentation, making the final produce highly desirable for industrial processing and home cooking alike.
