Bean Serenada

Growing «Serenada» Climbing Bean: Practical Insights

For gardeners looking to maximize yields in limited spaces, the «Serenada» pole bean from «Agrofirma Poisk» is a reliable choice. As a climbing type, this asparagus (green) bean variety requires a vertical support system, turning your garden plot into a productive green wall.

Cultivation and Maintenance Tips

• Support is essential. Since this is a climbing variety, it must be grown on trellises, nets, or stakes. Setting up supports at the time of planting prevents damage to the root system and stem development later in the season.
• Harvesting at the right stage. The quality of «Serenada» depends on picking the pods while they are tender and green. If left on the vine for too long, they lose their delicate texture. Frequent harvesting encourages the plant to set more pods throughout the 85–100 day growing period.
• Watering management. Moisture consistency is key, especially during flowering and pod development. Soil drought at these stages is the primary cause of flower drop, which directly impacts your harvest volume.

This variety is highly valued for its lack of fibrous parchment layer, making it excellent for fresh use, soups, or freezing. «Serenada» is a straightforward crop to manage, provided you give it vertical space and keep up with the harvest schedule. Its resilience and flavor make it a staple for any home vegetable patch.
