Description OKA
OKA variety beans are an early-maturing, high-yielding shelling variety with a period from germination to technical maturity of about 55 days. The plant is bush-type, reaching a height of 33 to 52 cm. Flowers are white, arranged 2-3 on the inflorescence. Pods are green, straight, long, and wide, covered with a parchment layer. Seeds are white, with a kidney-shaped longitudinal cross-section. Taste and market qualities of the beans are high, making the variety popular for home cooking.

The OKA variety is recommended for preparing various soups, side dishes, as well as for winter canning. It is resistant to lodging and shattering, which facilitates harvest collection and improves its quality. The beans are moderately drought-resistant, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions. Additionally, the variety is weakly affected by diseases such as anthracnose and ascochytosis, contributing to harvest stability.

OKA bean sowing is conducted in open ground at the end of May – beginning of June to a depth of about 3 cm. The recommended sowing scheme is 30x60 cm, which provides optimal conditions for plant growth and development. Thanks to its characteristics and versatility of application, OKA variety beans are an excellent choice for gardeners and home growing enthusiasts.
