Description GELIADA
GELIADA — a medium-maturing bean variety characterized by a bush plant type with a height of 35 to 60 cm and 5-7 productive nodes. This variety was created by selection from the fifth generation hybrid population of Stella (Sweden) and the OKA variety, which ensures its high yield and resistance to major bean diseases. Plants are of determinate growth type, which facilitates cultivation and harvest collection, especially when using direct combine harvesting.

GELIADA bean seeds have an elliptical shape and a buff color; the mass of 1000 seeds is 300-320 grams. Pods are weakly curved, flat-cylindrical, 10-13 cm long, with a coarse-fibrous structure. The grain is yellow, glossy, and of medium size. To achieve high yields, it is recommended to grow the variety on well-warmed and well-lit areas with light, fertile, and drained soils.

The variety has high resistance to bacterial blight, lodging, shattering, and drought, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions, especially in the Central, Central-Black Earth, and Middle-Volga regions of Russia. GELIADA beans are an important dietary product containing about 24% protein and trace elements such as potassium, magnesium, and iron. It is widely used for making soups, second courses, and side dishes, making it a versatile and useful product in the diet.
