Description Assol
Assol — a mid-season bean variety with a maturity period of 80-90 days. The plant is bushy, reaching a height of 45-50 cm. Pods measuring 15-20 cm in length contain 6-8 medium-sized seeds, which have a shiny, smooth surface and a reddish-brown color. The seeds are rich in protein and microelements, making this variety particularly valuable in terms of nutritional content. Assol is distinguished by its stable yield, good taste qualities, and resistance to diseases, ensuring a reliable harvest with proper care.

This bean variety prefers bright and warm growing conditions. Optimal soils for it are fertile loamy and medium-loamy soils with neutral pH; acidic soils require liming. Beans are demanding in terms of moisture, so regular watering is essential for achieving a high yield. Sowing is performed in rows in well-warmed soil at the end of May to early June, after the threat of late frosts. Seeds are planted at a depth of 5-6 cm, with 15-20 cm spacing between plants in the row and 50 cm between rows. Bushy beans do not require support and do not tolerate fresh manure.

Fruits mature approximately two weeks after flowering begins, and under favorable weather conditions, the plant produces fruit for 6-8 weeks. Harvesting is recommended before the pods reach full ripeness. Assol is suitable for preparing traditional dishes of Caucasian cuisine, as well as for canning, stewing, and other preservation methods. Additionally, this variety is a good predecessor for most crops, except those belonging to the legume family.
