Bean Zagadka

The Zagadka pea variety is a versatile crop suitable for cultivation as both pods and seeds. This variety is characterized by early maturity with a vegetation period of 100 to 120 days, ensuring uniform ripening and simplifying harvest. Plants reach a height of 40 to 55 cm, do not require support due to their compact bush, and have high yield — approximately 700 grams per square meter. The pods of Zagadka are long, up to 16 cm, yellow when fully ripe, strong, and covered with a parchment layer, preventing cracking. Each pod contains numerous oval white seeds with a characteristic dark red spot at the base. The Zagadka variety is valued for its resistance to major pea diseases and ability to withstand drought conditions, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic zones. The plant prefers sunny, warm areas with nutrient-rich and moist soil. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow pre-grown seeds into prepared soil enriched with mineral fertilizers. Moderate watering and proper care contribute to obtaining a high-quality yield. The Zagadka pea is widely used in culinary applications due to its excellent taste. It is suitable for fresh consumption, canning, and long-term storage. The versatility of this variety makes it popular among both home gardeners and commercial growers. Due to its characteristics, Zagadka is an optimal choice for those who value reliability, yield, and quality of peas.
