Berggold bean is a medium-maturing bush variety with a vegetation period of about 50 days. The plant reaches a height of about 40 cm and is characterized by high yield. The pods have an oval, slightly curved shape, golden-yellow color, 12-14 cm long, without parchment layer inside, which ensures their tender texture and excellent taste qualities. This bean variety is suitable for consumption both as dry beans and in pods.
Berggold is intended for sterile canning and freezing, making it a versatile product for storage and further use. The bean is easy to grow, heat-loving, and resistant to diseases such as bean anthracnose and general mosaic virus, significantly simplifying plant care and increasing yield stability. The seeds are coated with a special treatment that stimulates growth and improves germination, contributing to obtaining a high-quality and abundant harvest.
Sowing of beans is recommended in open ground in May at soil temperature of 10-15 °C. Harvesting takes place in August-September, during which beans should be collected every 5-6 days to maintain high fruit quality. The variety is suitable for mechanized harvesting, simplifying the harvesting and processing of the crop. Berggold variety is produced in Italy, guaranteeing high quality seed material.
