Barley Statok

Field Performance of Statok Barley

For an agronomist managing spring barley, predictability within a tight vegetative window is essential. The Statok variety, developed by the Kirovohrad Institute of AIC, is designed for efficiency, maturing in just 80–90 days. Its compact height (50–70 cm) is a significant operational advantage: the crop is highly resistant to lodging, ensuring a clean and steady harvest. You don't have to worry about downed stems, which means fuel efficiency remains high and harvesting speed is maximized.

Disease Resistance and Crop Care

In the field, Statok displays a robust health profile. It shows impressive natural resistance to leaf rust, effectively reducing the pressure of common pathogens. Its endurance against helminthosporiosis and powdery mildew allows for a more flexible and cost-effective fungicide spray schedule. For the operator, this translates to lower chemical costs and reduced mechanical traffic through the field during peak growth stages.

Maintenance and Agrotechnics

Statok is an low-maintenance variety that fits perfectly into intensive agricultural systems. Its short growth habit makes it easy to manage, while its responsiveness to moisture-conserving practices makes it a reliable asset. It is the ideal choice for those who prioritize a balance between stable yields and simplified field operations, minimizing the need for constant intensive monitoring.
