Spring barley variety Boyos is a mid-season type with a vegetation period of about 92-98 days, characterized by high yield potential and good drought resistance. The grain is dense and straw-colored when ripe, indicating high quality. The variety is resistant to lodging and shattering, facilitating harvest and improving grain retention. The recommended seeding rate is 180–220 kg per hectare, ensuring optimal plant development and maximum productivity.

Boyos exhibits moderate disease resistance, requiring proper agronomic practices including fertilizer and herbicide application to maintain crop health. The variety is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv Oblasts, as well as northern areas of the country. High protein content in the grain (12–15%) makes it in demand for both grain and feed purposes.

This barley is especially valued by farmers cultivating it for the brewing industry, due to its technological properties and grain quality. Its mid-late maturity and adaptability to spring weather fluctuations enable it to thrive under various climatic conditions, ensuring a stable and high yield, potentially reaching 7–10 tons per hectare.
