Aster Tenderness

Elegant Classic for Floral Compositions

The «Nezhnist» (Tenderness) aster, developed by the Institute of Horticulture of the NAAS, is a standout selection for professional floriculture in Ukraine. Unlike dwarf bedding varieties, this annual is specifically tailored for commercial cut flower production. Its defining feature is the striking combination of height—reaching 80–100 cm—and large, semi-spherical blooms that span up to 15 cm in diameter.

Why Choose This Variety

• Premium Cut Quality. The robust, long stems are ideal for professional bouquets, eliminating the need for floral wire to support the blooms.
• Distinctive Bi-color Palette. The unique two-tone coloration makes the flower a sophisticated centerpiece, standing out against more common monochromatic varieties.
• Structural Integrity. The semi-spherical shape of the bloom offers superior transportability, maintaining its form better during handling compared to loose-petaled types.

Insights for Growers

As an annual, «Nezhnist» requires a fresh planting cycle each season. Given its height (80–100 cm), it is recommended to cultivate it in areas protected from strong winds, or to utilize netting support to prevent lodging. This variety is an excellent choice for commercial flower farmers and private growers who prize tall, architectural flowers. Due to its origin, the variety shows high adaptability to the local climate, often outperforming imported hybrids in terms of resilience and consistent display during the peak flowering season.
