Description Sonata
Astra pion-like Sonata – a bright yellow annual plant with double flower heads up to 15 cm in diameter and a plant height of 60 to 80 cm. Up to twenty flower heads can form on one bush, making it attractive for both flowerbeds and bouquet cutting.

The plant prefers sunny areas and grows well on various soil types, including moderately moist and light soils. Frost resistance down to –3 °C (zone 7–8) allows flowering to continue until the first frost, while a compact root system ensures stability on small planting areas.

For cultivation, seeds are sown in March under film or in April in open ground; seedlings are usually transplanted in mid-May. Planting depth – 5 cm, distance between plants – 30 cm. Regular watering and moderate fertilization promote the formation of large flower stalks and extend the flowering period to 40–45 days.

Sonata is perfect for the decorative design of gardens and flowerbeds, and retains freshness in a vase for more than two weeks, making it in demand both for cutting and for live compositions.
