Tulip Kung Red

Technical Profile of the Kung Fu Tulip

The Triumph class tulip, Kung Fu, represents a breeding solution focused on balancing high ornamental value with biological stability. The core of the cultivar's morphology is a low-growth stem architecture, which provides exceptional wind resistance and minimizes lodging risks in both open field conditions and container gardening.

Biological Defense and Resistance

The key advantage of this hybrid is its genetically fixed resistance to a complex of pathogens that typically affect bulbous plants. The integrated defense system includes:

• Resistance to Fusarium wilt: reduces losses of planting material caused by soil-borne infections.
• Immunity to anthracnose and powdery mildew: maintains high photosynthetic activity of the foliage even under high-humidity conditions.
• Resistance to watermelon mosaic virus: a critical factor preventing petal deformation and loss of aesthetic marketability.

Visual Characteristics and Agronomics

The Kung Fu color scheme is built on a distinct contrast: a primary red background complemented by a sharp white margin along the petal edges. This bicolored pattern remains stable throughout the entire blooming period. As a mid-season flowering variety, this tulip demonstrates predictable bud development. Its compact dimensions make it an optimal choice for framing garden borders and creating dense, impactful color zones.
