Description MARGO
Astra variety Margo is an annual plant with peony-like, double red blooms. The flowers are large, with a diameter of 10-12 cm, have a dense structure and maintain their decorative qualities both in the garden and in bouquets. The plant features an early flowering period lasting from July to October and is resistant to adverse weather conditions, including moderate drought resistance and good cold hardiness.

Margo Astra bushes are tall, reaching heights from 60 to 110 cm, and have a columnar shape. The inflorescences are hemispherical or spherical, consisting of wide ray florets pointing upwards and curved inward, giving them a dense and neat appearance. The plant prefers sunny locations but can also grow in partial shade, thriving best in light, fertile soils without the need for organic fertilizers at the time of planting.

Seeds are sown from mid-February to April, with a sowing depth of 0.5-1 cm. At a soil temperature of around +20 °C, seedlings appear within 7-14 days. Seedlings are transplanted after 3-4 weeks and grown at a temperature of +12-15 °C. Transplanting to open ground occurs in the second half of May with a plant spacing of 25-30 cm. Astra Margo is excellent for growing in flower beds, rabatkas, and for cut flowers, thanks to its decorative qualities and long flowering period.
