SARATOV RUBIN

The Apricot variety Saratov Rubin was bred in 2015 by breeder A.M. Golubev through crossing elite forms, including the varieties Krasavec, Pharaoh, and Manchurian. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, reaching heights of 4-5 meters, with a spreading spherical crown of medium density and straight branches. Leaves are of medium size with pointed tips, and during flowering, single white inflorescences of medium size appear. The variety is partially self-fertile, so the presence of pollinators is recommended to ensure a good harvest. The average lifespan of the tree is about 28-30 years.

The Saratov Rubin variety is valued for its high yield and resistance to diseases and pests, as well as its good frost-hardy properties. It has immunity to fungal diseases, which facilitates care and increases the reliability of fruiting. Fruits ripen in average season, have medium weight and a harmonious taste combining sour and sweet notes. Sugar content in the fruits reaches 8.5%, while fruit acids make up about 1.5%, which gives them a pleasant sweetness with a refreshing acidity.

Despite the tendency of fruits to drop, the variety is popular among both experienced gardeners and beginners, thanks to its excellent characteristics and taste qualities. However, in cold conditions, some gardeners noted difficulties with the survival of trees, which requires additional attention when growing in regions with severe winters.
