Description AVIATOR
The Aviator apricot variety is a vigorous tree with a pyramidal crown, reaching up to 4 meters in height. This variety begins bearing fruit as early as the third or fourth year after planting, quickly increasing its yield. The fruit ripens in the second half of July, making it a mid-season variety suitable for cultivation in southern climate conditions. Aviator is distinguished by its high frost resistance and disease resistance, which significantly eases care and increases crop reliability.

Aviator apricot fruits have an oval-ovoid or round-oval shape with a characteristic beak at the top. Their weight ranges from 46 to 60 grams, with a thin but sturdy skin, velvety pubescence, and coloring ranging from bright orange to cream-orange with a light raspberry blush. The flesh is dense, tender, and aromatic, with a sweet-and-sour taste and a slight tartness, making them attractive for both fresh consumption and processing.

The variety is self-fertile and does not require additional pollination, simplifying cultivation. For successful development, it is recommended to plant the tree in open sunny locations with light fertile soil, ensure regular watering, especially in hot weather, and conduct fertilization. Pruning should be performed before the onset of sap flow and after November. The Aviator apricot is excellent for making jams, compotes, juices, candied fruits, and dried fruits, thanks to its high quality and rich aroma.
