Description KAZMAR
The Kazmar apricot variety is the result of breeding by the Far Eastern Institute of Agriculture. This winter-hardy variety is distinguished by high yield and adaptability to various biotic and abiotic stressors, making it particularly suitable for cultivation in the Far East conditions. The medium-sized tree with an open canopy begins bearing fruit in the third year after planting.

Kazmar apricot fruits have a flattened shape and yellow-orange color with red shades. The average fruit weight is about 26-29 grams, with maximum weight reaching up to 36 grams. The taste of the fruits is acidic-sweet, with high sugar content (about 11.8%) and dry matter (14.5%), as well as a significant level of ascorbic acid, which gives them good taste qualities and universal purpose. The fruits do not crack and have good commercial appearance.

The ripening period of Kazmar apricot falls between August 19 and 25. The variety is self-sterile, so for successful pollination, the use of varieties such as Khabarovsk, Amur, or Academician is recommended. Disease resistance is rated at 4.5 points, indicating good resistance to various plant diseases. All these characteristics make the Kazmar variety attractive for gardeners seeking to obtain a quality and stable apricot harvest.
