Obtained in a private garden in the Republic of Khakasia in 1979 from a mixture of second-generation seedlings of the Khabarovsk selected forms. Author I.L. Baykalov. Included in the State Register in 2002. Recommended for the East Siberian region.
Trees 3 m tall and 3.5 m in diameter. The crown does not become dense. Flower buds of medium size, regular shape, located on flower clusters and one-year shoots. Leaves egg-shaped, with slightly convex base and elongated apex. Leaf edges are serrated. Flowers are medium-sized.
Fruits of medium weight 25 g, maximum 35 g. Slightly compressed from the sides, with a noticeable seam, yellow-green color, with slight blush, inside the crown yellow. Flesh is dense, orange, medium juiciness, sour-sweet taste, pleasant. Fruits contain 14% soluble dry matter, 6.5% sugars, 2.1% acids, 8 mg/100g vitamin C, 0.56% pectin. Stone separates easily, kernel is not bitter.
Flowering usually begins at the end of the first to the beginning of the second decade of May and lasts about 10 days. Good pollinators are Mountain Abakan, Siberian Baykalov, Kirovets.
Yield from one tree at the age of 11 years is 17 kg, maximum 45 kg. On coastal gently sloping elevations, fruiting is annual.
Mother plant at the age of 35 years still grows in the steppe zone. Grafted trees have high cold resistance.
In Khakasia, root neck rot was not observed, but in gardens with deep snow cover of Shushenskoy GUS, young trees often die. Winter dormancy period is short. During winter thaws, flower buds, early formed on flower clusters, emerge from dormancy and freeze, but buds on secondary growth of strong one-year shoots remain undamaged.
Advantages of the variety: high frost resistance, good-tasting fruits.
Disadvantages: susceptible to root neck rot.
