Dary Melitopolia

The 'Dary Melitopolia' apricot variety is a medium-sized, fruit-bearing tree with a wide, rounded canopy, adapted to the climatic conditions of the Southern Steppe of Ukraine. The plant can reach up to 4 meters in height, and fruiting begins on the 2nd-3rd year after planting. For successful cultivation, choose a sunny location, which promotes development and fruit quality.

Fruits of this variety are large, weighing up to 45 grams, with a light-orange or light-cream color and a blush on the sun-exposed side. The fruit shape is slightly elongated or round, with creamy, dense, juicy, and aromatic flesh with a sweet-tart flavor. The fruits easily detach from the pit, facilitating their use in cooking. Due to their structure and taste qualities, apricots of this variety are excellent for canning, drying, and preparing various homemade preserves.

The variety exhibits high cold resistance and tolerance to sharp temperature fluctuations, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Ukrainian climate. It also demonstrates high resistance to fungal diseases, particularly monilial burn, although it may be susceptible to moniliosis and gray rot. The yield of this variety ranges from 7 to 10 tons per hectare, indicating its high productivity and value for gardeners.
