Description TAVRIDA SPARK
The Tavrida Spark apricot variety is a medium-sized tree with a round, slightly spreading crown and moderate foliage. The tree bears fruit from the fourth year of life and is characterized by stable, high yield, reaching up to 200 centners per hectare. The variety is noted for enhanced winter hardiness of flower buds, drought resistance, high resistance to clasterosporium, and moderate resistance to monilia. Tavrida Spark is partially self-fertile, which promotes regular fruiting.

The apricot fruits are large, with an average weight of about 45 grams, round, sometimes with slight asymmetry. Their skin is velvety, with slight fuzzing and a bright orange base color, decorated with pinkish or crimson spots and tan. The flesh is orange, juicy, finely fibrous, medium density, with a tart-sweet flavor that received a high tasting score — 4.5 points. The stone is medium-sized and easily separates from the flesh, making the fruits convenient for consumption.

The maturation period falls in late July to early August, which is considered medium-late. The fruits are well transported and have high storage life, allowing them to remain fresh for a long time. Tavrida Spark is versatile in use: the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and are widely used in cuisine for making jams, compotes, and jellies. The vitamin composition of the fruits includes about 9.6% sugars, 0.8% acids, and 10.5 mg% vitamin C, making them not only tasty but also healthy.
