MIKHAILOVSKAYA

The Mikhailovskaya apple is a winter columnar variety characterized by high yield and excellent winter hardiness. The tree grows quickly, reaching an average height of about 3.5 meters with a moderately dense crown that requires periodic thinning. The variety is resistant to frosts down to -30°C, as well as to heat and drought, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including southern regions of Russia. Fruiting begins in the fourth year after planting.

Mikhailovskaya apples are large and uniform, weighing on average between 160 and 200 grams, sometimes reaching 400 grams. They have an oblate-conical shape with pronounced ribbing. The skin is yellowish-green with a red-carmine or orange-red blush covering most of the surface. The flesh is cream-colored, firm, juicy, and finely granular, possessing a sweet-and-sour taste with a pleasant apple aroma. Apples ripen simultaneously, drop very little, and withstand transportation well.

The variety exhibits good resistance to diseases and can be stored at reduced temperatures from 0 to +4°C with 90-95% humidity for 5-7 months. During storage, the fruit's flavor fully develops, making them particularly attractive for long-term use.
