The 'Rubinola' apple variety is a winter variety developed in the Czech Republic through cross-breeding the 'Prima' and 'Rubin' varieties. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and a lush, round canopy. It bears fruit regularly and abundantly, starting from the second year after planting, primarily on one-year-old growths. For successful pollination, it is recommended to use varieties such as 'Champion', 'Delicacy', and 'James Grieve'.
'Rubinola' fruits are large and medium-sized, weighing from 150 to 190 grams and more, have a flattened shape and a bright red striped blush covering the entire surface. The flesh is yellow, with a creamy texture, and features a sweet taste with a wine aroma. Apples ripen after October 15 and do not drop when ripe, allowing for harvest collection over an extended period. The storage period of the fruits is quite long—they are preserved in cellars until March, making the variety versatile for use from October to February. The fruits have high transportability and excellent commercial qualities.
The 'Rubinola' variety is distinguished by high resistance to scab and other diseases, reducing the need for chemical treatment. Additionally, the apple tree has high winter hardiness, allowing it to be successfully grown in various climatic conditions. The tree is unpretentious in care; with regular preventive pruning and spraying, it maintains health and high yield. Thanks to its attractive appearance and abundant flowering, the 'Rubinola' apple tree will become an ornament for any garden.
