Autumn variety of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Fruit Crops named after I. V. Michurin. Breeder: N. I. Savelyev. Obtained from crossing Prima with Bessemyanka Michurin. Submitted for State Testing in 1999, regionally approved since 2004.
Medium-sized tree with a moderately dense, spreading crown. Main branches are gray, emerge from the trunk at nearly right angles, and are compactly arranged. Fruit set primarily occurs on simple spurs, shoots, and fruiting stems.
Shoots are medium, straight, round, brownish-brown, moderately hairy. Leaves are long with a spirally twisted tip, green, smooth, glossy with delicate venation and coarse-toothed edges.
Flowers are large, small-cup-shaped, light pink, with petals positioned closely but freely.
Fruits are large, uniform, oval-shaped with a regular contour. Surface is smooth. Primary color is green-yellow, with a diffuse red blush covering most of the fruit. Skin is smooth, dry, glossy. Peduncle is short, medium thickness, straight. Depth and width of the calyx are medium. Blemishiness is absent or very slight. Calyx is medium size, closed. Seed chambers are half-open, medium. Seeds are medium, dark brown.
Flesh is white, tender, finely grained, juicy, with a good slightly acidic-sweet flavor.
Fruits contain 26.4 mg/100g ascorbic acid; 16.1% soluble solids; 11.5% sugars and 396 mg/100g P-active compounds.
Fruits ripen in autumn and can be stored for 2-3 months, suitable for table use.
Fruit production begins on the 5th year. Yield is high (200-250 centners/ha) and regular. After artificial freezing in mid-winter at -40ºC, bark and cambium showed no damage, and the degree of damage to buds and xylem did not exceed 0.5 and 0.7, respectively.
Characterized by relatively high cold resistance and monogenic resistance to scab (controlled by the Vf gene).
Advantages of the variety: resistance to scab, high winter hardiness, yield, fruit quality and consumer properties, high ascorbic acid content.
Disadvantages of the variety: short fruit storage period, fruit drop at overripening.
