SEPTYABR'SKOE KRASNOE

The 'Septyabr'skoe Krasnoe' apple variety is an autumn variety of Crimean selection, obtained from free pollination of the 'Banana zimniy' variety. The tree is medium-sized with a rounded crown of medium density, characterized by early fruiting – it begins to bear fruit as early as the 2nd–3rd year after planting. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and medium resistance to fungal diseases, which makes it suitable for cultivation in Crimea and other regions with similar climatic conditions.

The fruits of the 'Septyabr'skoe Krasnoe' variety have above-average size, weighing from 180 to 200 grams, round or flattened-round, with a wide and smooth base. The skin is delicate and smooth; the main fruit color is greenish-yellow with an intense dark red blurred-striped blush covering most of the surface. The flesh is creamy, dense, coarse-grained, and juicy, with a pleasant sour-sweet taste. The fruit basin is clean, without rustiness.

The period of harvestable maturity occurs in mid-September, after which the fruits can be stored in a refrigerator for 110–120 days, allowing them to be used fresh or for canning. Apples mature regularly but tend to drop. The yield of the variety reaches about 140 kg per tree. Due to its taste qualities and good storability, the 'Septyabr'skoe Krasnoe' variety is an excellent choice for gardeners wishing to obtain quality autumn apples.
